Maintenance

Maintenance is carried out in accordance with the maintenance plan and essentially includes the following work:

FUNCTION-PRESERVING CLEANING MEASURES

MECHANICAL INSPECTION

REFRIGERATION INSPECTION

REVIEW OF THE WATER CIRCUIT FOR THE HUMIDIFICATION SYSTEM

CHECKING THE PRESSURE CIRCUIT (ONLY FOR HAST SYSTEM)

INSPECTION OF THE MEASURING, CONTROL AND REGULATING EQUIPMENT

CHECKING THE SAFETY SWITCHES AND ALARM SYSTEMS

ELECTRICAL INSPECTION

All inspection points are documented in a maintenance report associated with the type of device.

Leak test

Due to EU Regulation 2024/573, the intervals for the leak test are calculated according to the classification of the refrigerant based on the CO2 equivalent or the mass in the system. The CO2 equivalent is calculated from the product of the GWP (Global Warming Potential) of the refrigerant and the
refrigerant and the filling quantity. The necessary leak test is carried out by our certified personnel and is performed by checking the system using an electronic leak detector.
You will receive a logbook for each system in which the annual leak test and any maintenance and repair work carried out will be documented.
You are welcome to contact us if you have any further questions about whether your system needs to be subjected to a leak test.

Factory calibration

Calibration is carried out according to the comparative measurement principle at the calibration points specified by the customer and is confirmed by a factory calibration certificate. The measuring equipment used for calibration is calibrated regularly and is traceable to the national standards of the Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Germany or to other national standards.

Accredited calibration of temperature chambers and climate chambers in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025

Calibration comprises the measured variables temperature and, if applicable, relative humidity and is carried out by comparing the display of the calibration item with a calibrated reference thermometer or dew point mirror in accordance with guideline DKD-R 5-7 and is confirmed by a calibration certificate. The measuring equipment used for calibration is regularly calibrated and is traceable to the national standards of the Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Germany or to other national standards.

DGUV inspection

Electrical systems and equipment must be tested repeatedly in order to maintain their proper condition. The inspection of your device is carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with the trade association regulations (DGUV V3) and is recorded accordingly.

The test includes:

  • Inspection
  • Measurement of protective conductor resistance
  • Measurement of loop resistance/short-circuit current Mains connection
  • Measurement of insulation resistance or
  • Measurement according to the residual curent method
  • Function test

24h-Service

In the event of a service request as part of the 24-hour service, the response time is a maximum of 24 hours (including Sundays and public holidays).

The service number is:

 +49-6471-6293-0

Qualification

For new systems, for example walk-in chambers or cabinets for stability tests, we offer installation (IQ), operation (OQ) and performance qualification (PQ). Re-qualifications are also possible.

The temperature (humidity) distribution measurement required as part of the OQ and PQ can, for example, be carried out with 9, 12 or 15 sensors in unloaded and loaded conditions over a period of 12, 24 or 48 hours at a value specified by the customer.

Calibration is carried out according to the comparative measurement principle and is confirmed by a protocol.

The measuring equipment used for calibration is calibrated regularly and is traceable to the national standards of the Physikalische Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Germany or to other national standards.

Door open test

Following a distribution measurement, a door-open test is carried out to simulate and verify the behavior of the temperature (and relative humidity) in the system to be qualified when the door is opened.

Implementation:

The temperature and, if applicable, humidity curve and the times are documented.

The TAT is successful if the temperature and, if applicable, humidity limits are maintained again within 1 hour of the door closing.

1.

Open the door for approx. 3 minutes

2.

Close door

3.

Wait >1h until the recording is finished

4.

End ofthe distribution measurement

Power fail test

The system is disconnected from the power supply in order to obtain information about the behavior of the system in the event of a power failure. The power supply is interrupted via the main switch or the mains supply line. The measurement continues until a sensor has left the acceptance criterion, but for a maximum duration of 3 hours.

Power recovery test

The system is adjusted to ambient conditions of approx. ± 2 K. Once this has been achieved, the power supply is switched on. The start-up behavior is recorded until all sensors are back within the acceptance criteria.

Distribution measurement

Distribution measurements ("mappings") include the evaluation and documentation of all measurement data over a specific measurement period.
The documentation is carried out using a validated Excel sheet and includes the following points:

  • Identification of the device
  • Data of the client
  • Identification of the reference measuring devices
  • Measurement method and ambient conditions
  • Tabular representation of minimum, maximum and average values (spatial and temporal)
  • Documentation of sensor distribution and dimensioning
  • Graphical representation of the measured values (progression)

Light measurement biotechnology and pharmaceutical technology

    Light measurement biotechnology

Measurement of photosynthetically effective radiation with quantum radiation sensor

    Light measurement pharmaceutical technology

Measurement of the visible spectral range with V-Lambda radiation sensor

    Commissioning

Commissioning and instruction of new systems includes:

    • Electrical connection with subsequent DGUV V3 measurement
    • Function test and performance test
    • Setting up the web application
    • Training of employees

    Customized modification

ThermoTEC's range of services includes technologically sophisticated series devices as well as customer-specific solutions.

Our experts modify standard test chambers according to individual customer requirements.

    Check-Up

The check-up is carried out in accordance with the check-up plan and essentially includes the following work:

    • Function-preserving cleaning measures
    • Visual and functional inspection of the system components
    • Checking the accessible safety equipment
    • Electrical inspection

All inspection points are documented in a check-up report. In the case of third-party devices, adjustment and spare parts procurement is not possible or only possible to a limited extent.

    Pressure vessel testing HAST system

Check-up and periodic inspection of HAST systems in accordance with the principles of the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV) and the applicable technical regulations (TRBS and TRB, TRR, TRG as a source of knowledge).

    The inspection includes:

    • Strength test of the pressure vessel
    • Internal inspection of the pressure vessel

The test is carried out by an approved inspection body (e.g. TÜV) and is then documented in a test report. During the test, a ThermoTEC service technician is made available to the approved inspection body.

To ensure a smooth process, the cooperation of the operator is required in the following points:

    • Provision of the manufacturer's declaration of conformity
    • Test reports of the system
