Test chamber extensions are one of the most frequently requested modifications at ThermoTEC and, in addition to simplifying the insertion of test specimens, also enable the test chamber volume to be increased to up to 2.200 liters.

Explosion protection, so-called EX protection as a safety option, is always required when media are present in the test material that can form an explosive atmosphere, such as flammable liquid or flammable gas. This could be brake fluid, hydraulic oil or glycol, to name just a few possible applications. It is essential to carry out a risk assessment together with the customer and to take appropriate safety measures for the systems and the surrounding area.

When it comes to safety and explosion protection (EX protection), ThermoTEC has numerous safety options in its product portfolio, for example to comply with ATEX directives. Our experts provide advice on customized concepts for primary, secondary and tertiary explosion protection in a detailed customer consultation.

In addition to the appropriate battery test chambers, ThermoTEC also offers numerous safety options for the special requirements of battery tests in order to carry out high-risk tests on lithium-ion batteries.

For applications in which the test specimens cannot be tested in the test chamber itself, various solutions are available for testing in an external test box. The modification of the external box supply ensures a modified air flow, depending on the basic model with or without additional fan and adapted to your application. The temperature and humidity are then controlled in the test box.

We can also offer individual insulated test boxes.

ThermoTEC offers various options for modifying the climate and temperature chambers with additional side panel cut-outs for the integration of side or viewing windows.

Our experts have many years of experience in the planning and optimal design of test bench and environmental simulation systems in various industrial sectors, with a particular specialization in the automotive and semiconductor industries.

Together with the customer, we clarify key questions such as

• How do I contact my component?
• How do I intercept or attach loads?
• How can I create an individual test space?
• Which interfaces are required for communication?

All requirements are then processed in a 3D model and coordinated with the customer in order to develop an optimal solution.
