Ice water shock test chambers with fixed test chamber
The ice water shock test chamber type EWS was specially developed to examine the temperature and corrosion behavior of test parts. For this purpose, the test specimen is first heated in an insulated room within a temperature range of +60 °C to a maximum of +180 °C and stored at the selected temperature for a freely adjustable time. The test specimen is then flooded with salt water, for example, whereby the test tank is flooded. This is done without mechanical movement or repositioning of the test specimen, which is one of the main advantages of this method, as test specimens can thus be easily operated electrically and large test specimen weights do not cause wear, as is the case with cage systems.
The temperature of the test liquid can be freely set in the range from 0 °C to +10 °C (optionally extendable). Temperature storage with cyclical flooding is fully automatic and is programmed via touch control or PC.
